Driving enrollments for a managed care health plan

Sensis was tasked to carry out AltaMed’s Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) enrollment campaign that sought to not only to provide comprehensive medical and social services for underserved seniors in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, but also to lessen the fears that surround senior care, dispelling the negative associations that come with the thought of nursing homes.

A documentary approach honors the real experiences of diverse participants and their caregivers.


The campaign aimed to dispel the misconceptions surrounding nursing home care and increase PACE program enrollment, notably among Hispanic populations, who historically have been more reluctant to access out of home treatment. 

Sensis developed both broadcast and online spots to drive viewers to AltaMed’s PACE webpage, which feature extended webisodes highlighting participant stories. 

Campaign tactics also included spot TV, digital display and video, social media (organized and paid) and paid search.  

Overall, the campaign contributed to sustained enrollment growth since its launch, nearly doubling annual enrollments from 2018 to 2021. In addition, our efforts contributed to over 2,500 PACE program enrollments.
