Campaigns for Austin’s Capital Metro and Rio Grande LNG earn silver at the Daveys

AUSTIN, Texas (February 4, 2019) — Sensis, a cross-cultural marketing agency driving behavior change, earned accolades at the International Davey Awards for its work for Austin’s Capital Metro public transit system and Rio Grande LNG, a proposed liquified natural gas terminal in Brownsville, Texas.

The Capital Metro “Real Riders” campaign earned a 2018 Davey Awards Silver for “Integrated Campaign — Business to Consumer.” The “Real Impact” campaign for Rio Grande LNG earned a 2018 Davey Awards Silver for “Print Campaign — Promotional/Branding for Design/Print.”

“We’re proud to earn these awards for work done on behalf of great clients who afforded us the latitude to craft creative campaigns on their behalf,” said Karla Fernandez Parker, managing director of SensisTX. “Capital Metro and Rio Grande LNG are great partners and we appreciate their faith in us to create winning work.”

“Sensis hit the right note, the right customers and the right media to make this campaign a success,” said Capital Metro Marketing Director Cynthia Lucas. “Not only was that success measured in a 38 percent weekday and 85 percent weekend ridership increase through the campaign, we continue to see double-digit ridership growth on MetroRapid a year later.”

The Davey Awards are presented to smaller agencies that “derive their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.” Winners are selected for their “out-of-the-box thinking” and “exceptional execution.”
