Interactive agency also earns spot on Hispanic Business
magazine's ranking of top Hispanic companies
(August 6, 2009) LOS ANGELES – Interactive agency Sensis earned a pair of
notable rankings by Hispanic Business magazine recognizing the agency's stellar
growth despite economic struggles facing the nation and the advertising industry.
The Los Angeles-based firm ranked No. 2 on the magazine's list of fastest growing
Hispanic-owned businesses and earned a spot at No. 448 on the HB500, a list of top
Hispanic-owned companies in the nation.
"Last year was a pivotal year in the history of the agency. All around us
agencies saw traditional advertising budgets slashed as their clients turned toward
digital advertising strategies. As an interactive agency, we already had the experience
and expertise they were looking for and were able to capitalize on their new interest
in digital advertising," Sensis CEO Jose Villa said. "We remained committed to providing
captivating creative work combined with innovative marketing strategies, and now
we are well-positioned within our industry and the direction it is headed."
Sensis' No. 2 ranking was a significant jump from the agency's 2008 No. 13 ranking.
The ranking was received based on Sensis' 2,033.41 percent five-year sales growth
and also reflects the agency's increase in number of employees from three to 27
during that same period. The full list of fastest growing companies can be found

This is Sensis' first time appearing on the HB500. Sensis' No. 448 ranking was received
based on the agency's $7.4 million in revenue in 2008. The HB500 was announced in
the publication's June issue, and the full list can be found at

Overall, the revenues for this year's HB500 dipped 0.6 percent to $36.1 billion,
the first dip since 2002.
